Mural LoevesteinDen Haag

Proudly we present this mural on a residential complex at Loevesteinlaan in The Hague. A collaboration with housing corporation Staedion. This artwork was created by our artist Roy Valk (@Karskione) and was festively unveiled together with the residents.

The project followed after a major maintenance of the building. True to our approach, we directly involved the neighborhood in the creative process. Roy developed two designs after conversations with residents, after which all apartment residents could vote. This design was chosen by a large majority - a tribute to the adjacent Zuiderpark.

At MooieMuur, we believe in the power of art in public space. Our murals have a positive effect on neighborhoods and residents. They not only improve the appearance of buildings, but also strengthen the sense of community. We see that our artworks invite people to look, reflect, and engage in conversations. They create connections between people and their environment, resulting in a more pleasant living environment and greater involvement in the neighborhood.

This project at Loevesteinlaan is a beautiful example of how we at MooieMuur bring together art, community, and urban renewal.
